              DESIRED LOCATION  INSIDE    THE BUILDING

HOW IT WORKS

 The system consists of a Top Dome, Pipe and light Diffuser

The top dome exposed to sun light collects light and pipes it down

• The highly reflective interior surface of the pipe conducts light to desired location with minimum loss
• The diffuser installed inside the pipe distributes the light evenly

• Minimum Maintenance – Only the top Dome is to be cleaned periodically
• Unlike regular Skylights this system conducts  light only and not heat
• The light pipe system has a top UV absorbing poly carbonate dome which absorbs UV radiation and the light transmitted will not fade the interiors of the building

APPLICATION GUIDE LINES

The table given below gives the guide lines for sizes of light pipe, light output and the area they can cover

1)      The illumination lux is based on  the ambient sunlight intensity of one lakh lux

2)      The output of a 100 watts bulb is 120 lux and that of 40w Tube light – 335 lux

3)      The actual amount of light transmitted by this system is variable as it depends on weather conditions, time of day, length of pipe and ambient conditions
