Projects Needing Your Help or Membership!

*    Creation of the Morven Library for the citizens to use in our area.  The City of Morven has books already that can be placed in the Library.  We will be reaching out to others in the County of Brooks to donate any books [in good shape] that they have and might want to place in our new library for its use.   We will need some volunteers to help us get the library ready.  It might entail painting, stocking shelves, cataloging books, setting up computer database.  Our volunteers will be needed to help staff the library at different dates and times.  So folks our community needs your help to get this project done.

*Creation of A Boy Scout Troop and a Cub Scout Troop in Morven and Barney areas.  Norman Brightwell has previously served the scouting program as Scoutmaster and CubMaster.  Norman is also a National Campground Certified Leader.  Norman also has earned his Wood Badge given to leaders who excel in leadership to the scouting program.  Even with all his experience;  Norman can't do this alone, he needs volunteers to help in leadership roles.  We need parents of the scouts or community leaders to serve as Committee Members [making financial and other decisions for the scouts].  Call Norman at 229-752955 and Let's kick it up a knotch" and get these programs started for the boys in our community as soon as possible.

*Creation of a Girl Scout Group for the Morven & Barney areas.  I, Lanette, was a previous Girl Scout in my youth.  I have also served as a Girl Scout Leader and know that this program is a wonderful asset to any girl.  Starting with Daisies, Brownies, Jr. Girl Scout, and Cadette.   I will need volunteers to help me because I can't do this program alone.  Please volunteer to help by calling 229-775-2955.

*Creation of a Morven CANCER WARENESS GROUP for Morven and Barney areas.  Losing a family member to this disease affects not only the family, but the community and friends.  Sometimes it just takes a shoulder to lean on a friend to talk to.  Cancer Awareness Groups encourage not only the individual fighting cancer but helps the family with special programs and help aids.  If you have lost a loved one to this dreaded disease, or know of someone right now that is fighting for their life; then join with me, [Lanette] and let's get this support started right away.  Call 229-775-2955 for more information.  You are Needed.

*Creation of a MYOSITIS Support Group in Morven and Barney areas.  There are several forms of this disease that affects thousands everyday.  Dermomyositis, Polymyositis, Lupus, Muscle Scerolsis, Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and others.  This is a newly developed support program countrywide as doctors and individuals are beginning to realize the serious effects on an indivduals quality of life when they have any of these dreaded diseases.  I, Lanette, fight the battle everyday and sometimes the pain is overwhelming to me.  Knowing that there is a support group available would give me hope, and a friend to talk to that is experiencing the same illness as I have.  So, please give me a call if you want to join this group or volunteer to help.  Call 229-775-2955.
